I live for adventure. It comes as no surprise that I have my substantial wish list of things I’d love to do. Maybe it will inspire an adventure for you!
Hug a Baobab Tree and High Five a Lemur
Honestly – what’s not to like about these magnificent trees. My lemur fantasy my not come true, I’ve come to terms with that, but how amazing would it be to see these unique creatures in the wild?
Build a Snowman on the Snowman Trek
The Snowman Trek is a wonderfully challenging trek across the mountain passes of Bhutan. I once carried a mini snowman around with my half a day during some spring skiing, just because. I’d love to resurrect my friend in a faraway place such as Bhutan.
Watch the Sun Set Over the Savanna
Just like any girl born around my time I loved the Lion King. Or perhaps I’m strange and most girls liked Beauty and the Beast? When I found out those sunsets were real, I just couldn’t resist. Seeing the wildlife of Africa has been on my list since I can remember. Gorilla tracking, safari, jungle trekking, I want to do it all, but if I had to choose, my first choice would be to see the savanna.
Lay Eyes on Mt Everest
When I was very young I read John Krakauer’s Into Thin Air. I was captivated by big mountains and I wanted to be a doctor helping people in Nepal. Although I got a little side tracked from the whole doctor thing, my love of the Himalaya never disappeared. I’ll be making this dream a reality this March!
Climb Mt Rainier or Mt Cook
I’ve recently turned my eyes towards a new hobby – mountaineering. I’d love to climb a technical peak and although there are plenty here in CO I’d like to travel somewhere farther away to do it. I’ve started down the path for this goal and it will be exciting to see where the journey leads me!
Live in New Zealand
Ever since I’ve visited NZ I’ve felt that I need to go back and spend some serious time in the region. A place that’s all about the outdoors? Sign me up! I’d love to relocate here for a year or two.
Backpack Through the Indian Subcontinent
India has always had a special allure for me. It’s hard to put into words, but like Nepal, it holds spiritual meaning. I would love to spend some time exploring India, Sri Lanka, and maybe even Bangladesh. I would probably come home several pounds heavier from all of the delicious food, but this adventure is on the top of my list!
